He’s Toured with Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt and Christine McVie… .his songs have been covered by Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Little Feat, Martina McBride and Waylon Jennings… he’s produced acclaimed albums for Hal Ketchum, Alejandro Escovedo and Chris Smither…he’s released five great solo albums – the most recent being “From The Five” on New West Records. “Getting Over You” is one of the most heartbreaking songs ever written. America’s Got Talent Review – Season 6, Episode 2, June 7th, 2011. (6/7/11) (SEATTLE AUDITIONS EPISODE) This is my show REVIEW, with no copyrighted footage included. However, most of the performances are linked further down in this description. Highlight auditions of this episode were Mauricio Herrera, Sadie, POPLYFE (my favorite so far), Melissa Villasenor, Zuma Zuma, and the “Trash Horn Man”, otherwise known as Carlton Baltimore. SHOW BREAKDOWN: First up is the kind of awkward, very adorable comedienne Melissa Villasenor. Her first impression is a pretty dead on impression of Barbara Walters and Natalie Portman. Then she whips out a solid Miley Cyrus…an amazing Kathy Griffin…an hilarious Christina Aguilera singing the National Anthem. This chick is solid gold. She is completely flattered by the audience giving her the love she deserves. The judges love her and she goes on to the next round. Next up are twins Andrew and Charles (The A+C Twins). They were inspired by Chris Brown. They think they could get as big as the Jackson 5. They start off singing a really terrible rendition of “My Girl.” When it comes to the criticism, they are angry, like really, really angry. The twins rally for Howie to get upstage and sing better than them. They don’t go on, thankfully. Litz Plumber and Robert Close take the stage to sing some opera-AXED. The Rice Rockettes come on next and they are sassy drag troupe-AXED.
